Information
ACKU
awards a purely Canadian, authentic black belt in the ACKU-style of karate.
Students can realistically achieve a black belt after approximately four
years of serious and dedicated training. ACKU will evaluate all black belt candidates.
ACKU offers levels of black belts, based on age and ability.
1. ACKU Junior Black Belt, ages through seventeen years.
(white
banded black belt)
2. ACKU Official Black Belt, ages eighteen and older.
(embroidered ACKU black belt)
3. ACKU Ranked Black Belts, according to badge colour
Regular and dedicated
training time is required between advancement of black belt levels. Members are encouraged to supplement their ACKU karate training in the community clubs by attending classes
at the main dojo.
Candidates must attend three consecutive Free Style sessions prior to applying to test. Students may earn their yellow, orange and green belts in the regular community clubs, but are expected to join the Free Style sessions for subsequent belt level training.
The ACKU is 100% Canadian owned and operated by Canadian ACKU Black Belt holders.
