Only adults ages 18 and over will be awarded ACKU Instructor Rank Badge levels

Family karate is taught in the community clubs.
This course is designed for operating assistant instructors and future instructors. Students of any belt level may join us.

ACKU Red Badge Program
The ACKU Red Badge represents the first gateway in the study of ACKU karate. Once completed, the ACKU member may wear the ACKU Red Badge, representing completion of Heian forms 1-5, Tekki forms 1-3, Bassai Dai, Kanku Dai and the ACKU Jo form Nijuni. Forms are to be demonstrated at an ACKU Badge examination.
ACKU Gold Badge Program
The ACKU Gold Badge represents completion of the forms Empi, Jion, Jutte, Hangetsu, Gankaku, Kanku Sho, Bassai Sho and ACKU Jo form Sanjuichi. Forms are to be demonstrated at an ACKU Badge examination.
ACKU Emerald Badge Program
The ACKU Emeral Badge represents completion of the forms Chinte, Ji in, Sochin, Sanchin, GekiSai Dai Ichi, Saifa, Seiyunchin and ACKU Nunchaku. Forms are to be demonstrated at an ACKU Badge examination.
ACKU Violet Badge Program
The ACKU Violet Badge represents completion of the forms Nijushiho, Wankan, Meikyo, Geki Sai Dai Ni, Sanseru, Shisochin, ACKU Sai and ACKU Bo. Forms are to be demonstrated at an ACKU Badge examination.
ACKU Black Badge Program
The ACKU Black Badge represents completion of the forms Unsu, Gojushiho Dai, Sesan, Tensho, Sepai plus the ACKU Kama and ACKU Tonfa. Forms are to be demonstrated at an ACKU Badge examination.
ACKU Platinum Badge Program

The ACKU Platinum Badge represents completion of the forms Gojushiho Sho, Kururunfa and Suparieni plus the ACKU Bokken. Forms are to be demonstrated at an ACKU Badge examination.

The program involves an in-depth study of the ACKU style while addressing issues involving body mechanics, physiology and age, nutrition and general conditions that exist in our Canadian communities today. This course is a reasonable approach to the study of Canadian martial arts. ACKU Operating instructors are recognized by the following:

ACKU NCICP 1
Operating instructors who begin community coaching experience.
Ranking letter "T" designating Trainee.
ACKU NCICP 2
Operating instructors with four years or more of community coaching experience. Ranking letter "D".
ACKU NCICP 3
Operating instructors with eight years or more of community coaching experience.
Ranking letter "C".
ACKU NCICP 4
Operating instructors with twelve years or more of community coaching experience.
Ranking letter "B".
ACKU NCICP 5
Operating instructors with sixteen years or more of community coaching experience.
Ranking letter "A".

All Canadian Karate Union Service Dan Program (Represents loyalty to our own Canadian Martial Arts Association))
ACKU Service Dans are awarded for every five years of ACKU registered service and karate training experience.
ACKU 1st Service Dan:
Five years registered training experience.
ACKU 2nd Service Dan:
Ten years registered training experience.
ACKU 3rd Service Dan:
Fifteen years registered training experience.
ACKU 4th Service Dan:
Twenty years registered training experience.
ACKU 5th Service Dan:
Twenty five years registered training experience.
ACKU 6th Service Dan:
Thirty years registered training experience.
ACKU 7th Service Dan:
Thirty five years registered training experience.
ACKU 8th Service Dan:
Forty years registered training experience.
ACKU 9th Service Dan:
Forty five years registered training experience.
