Starting / Prices

Getting Started - The Basics

  • Choose a convenient location.
  • Train at any ACKU Club anytime.
  • Start anytime.
  • Clubs are open September to May or June
  • Drop by and observe a class.
  • You don't need to call ahead.
  • You can call us at (403) 232-0228 or email us at jbray@acku.org if you have questions.
  • Register directly at any club.
  • No high pressure sales techniques.
  • No long term contracts.
  • We do not offer drop in fees. If you train one class or more in a month, you pay the regular monthly fee.
  • Students watch a class and see if they like karate.
  • We also offer our "Karate Chop Kids" program for children ages 4 and 5 at the Kincora, Riverbend, Silver Springs, Strathmore, Okotoks, Sandstone and Royal Oak locations.
  • Chop students are welcome to train in any of the Chop classes, anytime.
  • Everyone starts as a white belt.
  • We require that you wear a uniform that is purchased from ACKU. All sales support your club. You will also need a crest. Choose either the wolf or the Canadian flag.

Train month to month.
Family members are immediate family members, living in the same household. Extended family members such as aunts, uncles and cousins pay separately. We do not offer drop in rates because our rates are so low and because members can train at any of our clubs anytime. If you train one or more class in a month, you pay the regular monthly fee.

Monthly Fees includes gst!

    • First Family Member: $45.00
    • Second Family Member: $35.00
    • Family of Three or More: $85.00

Yearly Insurance Fee includes gst!

    • Per person: $30.00

Join one club, and you have joined them all. Train in any club anytime and do not pay any additional fees.
